This project is mainly about typographic experimentation and research or research and experimentation — and it’s meaningful application. The design is a reflection, a reaction, or interpretation of the text contents, Experimental Typography and the Need for the Experiment by Wim Crouwel. I started by reading and researching the text which serves as the base for this design. I highlighted and searched the etymology behind different words, trying to find hidden meanings and links between them.

The purpose of the project is to explore and reflect upon Crouwel’s words and give them a new form. The most important part of creating the outcome was getting involved with different materials and coming up with imaginative explorations. The text offered most of the information needed. For my experimentation, I aimed to be unconventional and find new ways of using the objects that surround me.
